In November we explored ‘Polar Regions’ during 'Integrated Learning Through Play’. We had such great fun as explorers in the arctic! We had to wrap up warm and camp out in freezing conditions in the hope of spotting some arctic animals. Beluga whales, walruses, huskies, arctic foxes, killer whales, polar bears and arctic hares were among the animals spotted in the ‘water area'. In the ‘small world area' we were explorers investigating penguins, while sledges and snowmobiles were some of the creations we put together at the ‘construction area'. At the ‘malleable area' we used playdoh to create various items and food for the explorers. We also made arctic animals from clay.
