Our theme for the month of September was 'people at work'. The 'doctor's surgery' was open in the role-play area. Here appointments were taken, sick and injured people were treated and routine check-ups were carried out. In the small world area the clinic was busy with patients needing care. Some were brought to to hospital by ambulance. Many items were put together in the construction area; stretchers, beds, toys and ambulances were just a few of the tools and pieces of equipment created. Tablets, medicine and hospital food were only a small number of the items created at the malleable and junk art areas.
This week we listened to the story of 'Six Dinner Sid'. Today we painted our very own cat masks. Before beginning we looked at pictures of and discussed all the different colours of cats there are.
Today we had our second session of gymnastics. We are finding it so much fun! We are learning so many new skills.
We are revising our 'sorting' and 'matching' skills in maths. We had great fun cutting out socks and sorting them into pairs.
